The effectiveness of anti-cancer peptides depends on the amino acid sequence, secondary structures, total charge, amphipathy, ability to oligomerize and high stability of serum. Despite the lack of clear standards for the design of anticancer peptides, an improved understanding of the interrelationships of structure and activity, enhanced by innovative molecular concepts and advanced computational approaches, can provide valuable tools for their advancement to industrial production and application.

Keywords: anticancer peptides, mechanism of action, characteristics, application prospects
